Coming from Cape Point, the False Bay coastline (False Bay Peninsula) stretches from Smitswinkel Bay in the south to Bailey’s Cottage Beach as you head up the coastline (northwards) towards The City of Cape Town. Beaches along this stretch of coastline enjoy the warmer waters of the Indian Ocean and are popular for swimming and other water sports. Be warned, they are also exposed to the infamous Cape South Easter winds, so it’s best to frequent them in the morning.

Milton beach is located in Sea Point, Cape Town and accessible via a ramp (wheelchair access) from the Sea Point promenade. It’s main attraction being the Tidal Pool.
Milnerton Lagoon Beach is the first beach you will find on the Cape Town West Coast when heading out of City Bowl. Located on the Milnerton border after Paarden Eiland.
Maidens Cove with its Tidal Pools, Beach and Braai Areas is another hidden gem located on Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard coastline between Camps Bay & Clifton.
