About the West Coast

This interesting stretch of coastline referred to as the City of Cape Town’s West Coast, starts at Lagoon Beach (Paarden Eiland) and continues north up the coast, past the Koeberg Conservation Area to Silwerstroomstrand. These beaches are mostly long sandy beaches, popular for swimming, rock-pool exploration, kiteboarding, surfing and fishing. The provincial West Coast commences after Silwerstroomstrand.
